June 11, (THEWILL) – A Former Senator who represented Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani has urged President Bola Tinubu to reject the renaming of the Abuja International Conference Centre after him.

THEWILL had reported that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike on Tuesday announced that the rehabilitated Centre after will now be known as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.

Reacting to the move by the Minister, Sani said the facility was built by former Head of State Ibrahim Babangida and should retain its original identity.

“The International Conference Centre Abuja was built by IBB. The President should reject renaming the place with his name,” Sani wrote on his official Facebook page.
