October 25, (THEWILL) – Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., better known as Snoop Dogg, has lost his mom. She died at the age of 70.
The rapper was left heartbroken after his mother, Beverly Tate, died over the weekend.
Snoop Dogg described his mother as an “angel” as he paid his tribute to her as he shared a photo of himself and Beverly on Instagram. He wrote, “Mama thank u for having me [prayer and rose emojis] (sic).”
The 50-year-old rapper also accompanied the post with a second, featuring just a photo of his mom and captioned it, “Thank u god for giving me an angel for a mother [heart, prayer, and flower emojis] TWMA”.
He also posted a video of himself in which he sat in a dark room as he listened to The Voices of East Harlem’s ‘Giving Love’ along with a broken heart emoji.
Celebrities and friends of the rapper have since sent their condolences.
