October 25, (THEWILL) – Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to keep his job and remain in the Old Trafford dugout for the foreseeable future.
Following United’s 5-0 defeat to fierce rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, the Manchester United board has been under intense pressure to fire Solskjaer.
According to reports tracked by THEWILL, Antonio Conte, the former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager, is open to replacing Solskjaer. Zinedine Zidane’s name has also been mentioned as a contender to take the Norwegian’s place.
United’s Managing Director Richard Arnold and owner Joel Glazer reportedly held an emergency meeting yesterday to discuss Solskjaer’s future. They agreed that the Norwegian will be in charge of the club’s English Premier League match against Tottenham on Sunday.
