November 27, (THEWILL) – Gospel rapper, Adekunle Adeyoola, aka Soulsnatcha, of Rooftop MCs fame, has remembered his late wife, Adora, who died in November 2019, leaving behind her four children.
He later remarried his colleague, Nike Laoye, aka Nikki Laoye, in a glamorous ceremony in March 2022.
The father of four took to Instagram to pen an emotional message as he marked the anniversary of his late wife’s demise.
“My dearest Abimbola, they say time heals all wounds. Not so sure about that. Time is going, wound’s still hurting but we have to keep living.
“I know you know this already as you are now able to see with a clearer perspective what was, what is and what is to come, nonetheless, I must say, we are doing good.
“Some days are better than others. There are days when I slip into that place where I’m there but not there. There are days when I’m so happy and over the moon.
“There are days when I hate that I am happy and over the moon. Yeah, yeah, I know what you are about to say. Just leave me, I’m getting better.
“I guess when I start to walk in the things we talked about and see certain things God showed us happen, it’s bound to hurt not to have you here experiencing them with me.
“I am grateful to God for the times we shared.
“I’m hurt that we delayed a lot of things saying when you get better we shall do them instead of living life fully in the now.
“Yet, I am glad that there were no words left unsaid. We loved each other well. We argued well and we worked things out quickly.
“I served you, you served me and at the end, I was able to present you to the father whole and acceptable.
“I found love again, I know you’ll be laughing at me ‘with all your God forbid. Did I not tell you? Blah blah blah’. Yes, you did but would have never thought it would be Nikki. She loves the children so much and they love her so dearly, I enjoy watching how they relate to each other.
“The little people are doing great. Seven is our big madam. She’s so dependable and the fashion designer dream is still alive. Trinitee still has her sense of humour and is doing great in school. Zion is as smart as we thought. Still a lone ranger but still warm and friendly and Rain is a character, he just comes up with the funniest things.
“As a family, we have gotten to a place where we are no longer worried about talking and reminiscing about you with the children. We have gotten to a place where it’s fun and loving. The memory of the righteous is indeed blessed!
“It’s not like you don’t know all these but I felt led to write you an open letter all the same. We miss you and we forever love you”, he wrote.
