October 24, (THEWILL) – Tottenham Hotspur is certain that Harry Kane will commit his long-term future to the team and is hoping to strike a new contract deal with the striker in the first quarter of 2023.
Kane’s current contract expires in the summer of 2024, and while his quest for his first career title continues, he has been extensively linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the near future.
Mauricio Pochettino is interested in returning to north London, while Juventus are interested in reuniting with Antonio Conte soon. Spurs have lost their last two games, effectively confirming that they will need to do more to fight for the English Premier League crown.
Even though the team is currently unconcerned about the present circumstances, they would want the striker to sign a contract before the end of the current campaign due to growing interest from Bayern.
With 11 goals in 16 games for Tottenham in all competitions, Kane has had a strong start to the 2022/2023 campaign and is currently just seven goals behind Jimmy Greaves for second place all-time at Spurs.
