September 30, (THEWILL) – Tottenham Hotspur pulled off another dramatic stoppage-time victory on Saturday evening, defeating Liverpool 2-1 thanks to an own goal by Joel Matip.
The exciting, resurgent sides had both started the English Premier League season undefeated after disappointing campaigns last year. Liverpool will be disappointed to lose in such dramatic fashion despite being down to 10 men for much of the match and nine for 21 minutes. In their next game, they welcome Union SG in the UEFA Europa League while Spurs travel to Luton in the EPL.
