March 24, (THEWILL) –The Super Eagles have arrived in Kumasi, where they will face Ghana in a key World Cup qualifying match on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The entire team of 25 players and staff travelled to Ghana and to the football-crazed Kumasi city ahead of their match against arch-rivals Ghana at the 40,000-seater stadium, where only the best is expected of both teams.
Nigeria arrived in the country on an Air Peace plane and will return to Abuja after the game on Friday.
The team is scheduled to get a feel for the stadium in a training session later today before heading to the pitch against the Black Stars tomorrow evening for the 8:30 pm kickoff.
A ticket for the Qatar-hosted 2022 World Cup is on the line and neither team will want to be on the losing side and risk failing to book a slot for the Mondial later this year.
