August 20, (THEWILL) – Reality show star, Natasha Akide, better known as Tacha, and body positivity advocate cum actress, Monalisa Stephen, have engaged in a war of words on social media.
While featuring in an interview with Pulse Nigeria, the actress stated that Tacha would have been nobody without the Big Brother Naija reality show.
She stressed that Tacha should constantly acknowledge that the reality show made her because she would have been probably twerking on the internet to make money.
“Tacha is a very confident woman, she knows what she is doing. Something made you. Without BBN, she would still be there twerking her ass for some change. They made her, so it’s okay for you to respect that. BBN made Tacha,” Stephen stated.
Displeased with the comment, Tacha body-shamed the plus-sized actress and asked why the reality show star didn’t make her colleague, Victoria Nabuchi, better known as Ella.
She also asked for the number of times she should express her gratitude to the show organisers for giving her the opportunity to be on the platform.
Tacha sarcastically asked if she should turn into a cleaner for the organisers just to show how grateful she is.
She added that she also put in some effort before she became famous.
“If you run as much as you run your mouth, you would have been in a better shape!! Why didn’t they make Ella? If you don’t STFU.
“How many times do I have to say how grateful I am for the platform? Oh no, I’m supposed to resume at their office and clean desks and tables daily!! You’ll forever be dumb!! I put in the work,” she wrote.
Responding to Tacha, Stephen took to her Insta story to reiterate that Tacha would be nobody without the reality show.
She added that she is a self-made lady and not like Tacha, who became famous because she was part of a reality show. She also noted that Tacha cannot relate to the fact that someone can be self-made because she has boys who are funding her lifestyle.
“You get mind body shame me oo. You that without BBN you are nothing. I am self-made. But that’s something you can never relate to all thanks to Port Harcourt and Lagos boys,” she wrote.
