The ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, celebrates Taiwo’s remarkable contributions during his tenure at the French Ligue 1 club from 2005 to 2011, where he established himself as one of the club’s most influential players.
During his time with Marseille, Taiwo’s impact was profound, accumulating an impressive 271 appearances while scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists.
His powerful left foot and defensive talents were instrumental in the club’s success, helping secure multiple titles including the Ligue 1 championship in the 2009/2010 season, the League Cup, and the French Super Cup.
