
BEVERLY HILLS, December 15, (THEWILL) – Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems has refused food while still in police custody in Uganda saying that she will stay without food until she is released.
THEWILL recalls that Tems alongside fellow musician Omah Lay, were arrested on Sunday in Uganda for flouting Covid-19 protocols by performing at an ‘unauthorised concert’.
While they are still in custody, Tems has stated that she will stay away from food for reasons unknown.
“I don’t want to eat unless you strap me to a chair and force food down my throat,” the singer told a woman in a video that emerged online.

“I haven’t eaten in the past 24 hours and I’m not eating for the next 48.”
