Three Policemen Killed As Gunmen Abduct Syrian In Sokoto

SAN FRANCISCO, May 17, (THEWILL) – The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed the death of three policemen at a quarry site in Lambar Mazaru, Bodinga Local Government Area.

The quarry site is owned by Triacta Construction Company, and managed by a Syrian, Abul Nasir.

The policemen,who guarded the quarry site, were killed when gunmen came to abduct Nasir.

This was confirmed by the command’s spokesman, Cordelia Nwawe, who told the NAN that the incident occurred about 7.20 am on Wednesday.

Nwawe said the deceased were confirmed dead in hospital adding that investigation had begun.

Security men at the quarry site said four hoodlums came in a car with tinted glass.

They opened fire on the policemen as they arrived the site and took Nasir away.
