BEVERLY HILLS, January 20, (THEWILL) – American Golf legend, Tiger Woods, has put his season on hold after he did a back surgery for the fifth time in his career.
Woods disclosed this in a statement on his social media channels, saying that he had a “procedure known as a microdiscectomy to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching his nerve”.
According to doctors, the surgery was successful but the golf legend will not be available for the PGA Tour events.
He said: “I look forward to beginning training and am focused on getting back out on Tour.”
THEWILL writes that the 45-year-old last played at the PNC Championship in December, where he felt “discomfort” in his back.
