June 23, (THEWILL) – Gospel singer, Tope Alabi, has been called out by some traditionalists for using their slang.
A video of the singer had gone viral where she used the word ‘Aboru Aboye’ while ministering in church.
‘Aboru Aboye’, the word used by Alabi, is a form of greeting among traditional worshippers.
She was called out by a traditionalist and told to identify with them since she has adopted their slang.
Mixed reactions has since trailed the singer for the use of the slang. Fans queried her spirituality and advised her to explain the meaning of her song.
