February 25, (THEWILL) – The Europa League’s last 16 draw has been made, with the remaining clubs discovering their fate and the clubs to which that fate is tied.
West Ham will face six-time champions Sevilla, while Barcelona will face Galatasaray of Turkey.
Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey will trade tackles with players of Serbian side Red Star Belgrade after Rangers caused one of the biggest upsets of the playoff round by knocking out Borussia Dortmund.
The full pairings for the Round of 16 are:
Rangers vs Red Star Belgrade
Braga vs Monaco
Porto vs  Lyon
Atalanta vs Bayer Leverkusen
Sevilla vs West Ham
Barcelona vs Galatasaray
RB Leipzig vs Spartak Moscow
Real Betis vs Eintracht Frankfurt
These last 16 ties will be held in March, with the first leg taking place on Thursday, March 10 and the reverse fixture taking place a week later on Thursday, March 17.
The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals, which will determine the full tournament bracket for the rest of the competition, will be made the day after the last 16 ties are completed, which is March 18.
Two months later, on Wednesday, May 18, the 2022 Europa League final will be held in Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, the home of record winners Sevilla. Whichever club wins will automatically qualify for next season’s Champions League group stage, as has been the case for several years.
