April 23, (THEWILL) — Unilever Nigeria Plc has reported a robust start to 2026, posting a 26 percent year-on-year increase in revenue to ₦59.2 billion for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026, up from ₦46.9 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.

The company also delivered impressive profitability gains, with operating profit rising by 39 percent to ₦11.5 billion, compared to ₦8.3 billion in the prior year. Net profit climbed by 26 percent to ₦7.0 billion, reflecting sustained efficiency and strong market execution.

Commenting on the results, Managing Director Tobi Adeniyi described the performance as a solid continuation of the company’s growth trajectory. He noted that the Q1 results underscore the resilience of the business and its ability to build on the momentum established in 2025.

According to Adeniyi, growth during the quarter was largely volume-driven, supported by product innovation and effective marketplace strategies. He emphasised that the company’s disciplined operations and focus on delivering long-term value remain central to its success.

Looking ahead, Unilever Nigeria says it will continue enhancing consumer experience while fostering a “play-to-win” culture. This includes strengthening brand appeal, deepening consumer connections, and executing with speed and excellence across its categories.
