January 24, (THEWILL) – Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has completed a loan move to AC Milan for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season, both clubs confirmed on Friday. The transfer includes an option for Milan to permanently acquire the 34-year-old England international, with reports suggesting a potential purchase price of approximately 4.2 million pounds.
Walker departs Manchester City after making 319 appearances for the club, with his last match being the 4-1 English Premier League victory against West Ham United on January 4. Manager Pep Guardiola previously indicated that Walker requested opportunities to play abroad, which led to his departure from the reigning English champions.
The experienced right-back, who originally joined City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017, still has 18 months remaining on his contract following a three-year extension signed in 2023.
