BEVERLY HILLS, July 21, (THEWILL) – Nigerian actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, who is a popular face in Yoruba Nollywood production, has disclosed why he converted to Christianity despite been born into a staunch Muslim family, saying his faith changed after some terrible experiences.
Ninalowo, who was christened Azeez, in an Instagram live session on Tuesday, said: “My name is Azeez; I was born into a staunch Muslim family but when I was in trouble and frustrated, it was the bible that saved me, as my parents and family members who were Muslims could not.
The popular actor, who also goes by the name Nino, did not specifically describe the nature of the problem he got into.
“So, I picked up the bible and it became my life manual,” he said, adding that he has attended a church service only once.
