BEVERLY HILLS, June 07, (THEWILL) – Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has changed his name to “Big Wiz” on his Instagram page.
Before now, many suggested that the singer should remove the “-kid” suffix from his official stage name to show his growth over the years and also indicate his emergence in the global music industry.
However, checks at Wizkid’s Instagram handle on Monday indicate that he had adopted “Big Wiz” as his profile name.
The change came without any announcement which makes many observers not sure yet if the new name, Big Wiz, is an official stage name change.
However, the Twitter page of the singer as of the time of filing this report, had still retained the name “Wizkid”.
His handle across both social media platforms also remained unchanged.
