January 05, (THEWILL) – Wolves earned a fantastic and historic victory at Manchester United on Monday night, their first win at Old Trafford in 40 years, thanks to Joao Moutinho’s late goal that brought an end to Ralf Rangnick’s unbeaten start.
The Portuguese midfielder latched onto the ball on the outskirts of the box and sent a low effort past David de Gea, who had kept United in the game with a number of crucial saves in the first half.
Wolves had the better of the early exchanges and put De Gea to the test on many occasions, with Ruben Neves in particular coming close with a well-struck volley that the Spaniard had to tip over the bar.

Rangnick’s club has not lost since he took over, and now the disarray in the side is glaring.
To save their season, they must learn from their mistakes. They looked lost going forward for the whole of the game, and that is an aspect of their game that will need to improve if they will have a sniff of UEFA Champions League football next season.
The result means Wolves move up to eighth place in the Premier League rankings, three points behind United, who are in seventh.
