Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has revealed Nouha Dicko and Ethan Ebanks-Landell are edging closer to returning from hamstring injuries.

Both players have a slight chance of featuring against Brighton on Saturday but are expected to be ready for the Christmas clashes with Watford and Brentford.

Dicko hasn’t figured since late October while Ebanks-Landell was forced off during last month’s defeat to Nottingham Forest.

However there was less positive news on defender Scott Golbourne, who continues to be dogged by a long-term foot problem.

“There were a few aches and pain after Saturday but nothing that will impact this weekend,” Jackett told the official club website.

“Coming back, we’ll see about Ebanks-Landell and we’ll see about Dicko.

“I wouldn’t necessarily say they will be back – it’s a bit too early to assess that – but by Thursday or Friday I will know.

“I certainly hope they will be back for the Christmas games but this week we will see how they go.

“It would be a terrific boost, to get Ethan and Nouha back into the squad would be fantastic, but Scott Golbourne (foot) will be a little bit longer.”
