BEVERLY HILLS, September 01, (THEWILL) – The Super Eagles of Nigeria, on Friday, defeated te Indomitable Lions of Cameroon by 4 goals to nil.

The Eagles dominated the game as the first half of the World Cup qualifying match, played in Uyo, ended with Nigeria leading by 2-0.

Odion Jude Ighalo scored the first goal for the Super Eagles, while Captain John Mikel Obi scored the second goal.

Ighalo scored the first goal at the 29th minute as from a 18 yard short that beat the Cameroonian goal keeper.

Mikel scored the second goal in the 41st minute as he converted the goal from a corner kick played by Victor Moses.

Moses scored the third goal for the Super Eagles in the second half at the 55th minute of the match while Kelechi Iheanacho completed the rout with the fourth goal in the 76th minute of the match.

Nigeria now has 9 points with a 100% record and would face Cameroon on Monday in the return leg of the encounter.
