July 17, (THEWILL) – Gubernatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party in Ogun State, Otunba Deji Osinowo, has described the former Commissioner for Environment in the state, Hon. Tony Ojeshina, as a ‘distraction’ for disobeying court orders.
The federal high court in Abeokuta, had ruled that Ojeshina, who lost to Osinowo, at the party’s primary election, should stop parading himself as the candidate of the party.
Despite the order, Ojeshina went ahead to unveil his running mate, Aare Olugbenga Oluyemi, a renowned accountant, as his running mate in the 2023 governorship election under the party.
But, reacting, Osinowo said that the former commissioner’s choice of picking a running mate despite court ruling, was to distract the people of the state
He insisted that he remains the authentic candidate of the party because he won the primary election, while urging the people of the state to ignore him and his deputy.
Osinowo, who also described Oluyemi’s acceptance of becoming Ojeshina’s running mate, as shameful, said that the former was only following his master’s script.
He said, “He (Ojesina) is disobeying court orders despite losing the primary election. Ojesina is simply a distraction. He should be ignored by the Ogun people. A man acting the script of his masters and it is shameful.”
