SAN FRANCISCO, September 04, (THEWILL) – Former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has declared his intention to contest the 2019 Presidential election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019, while launching an
economic blueprint titled ‘730 economic model’, his campaign said Tuesday in a statement.

Mark picked his Presidential nomination form on Tuesday at the Wadata Plaza, PDP National Secretariat, Abuja.

Senator Mark was President of the Senate for eight uninterrupted years between 2007 and 2015, a period that earned him the sobriquet “Mr. Stability”.

“He will contest the party’s ticket with bigwigs such as current Senate President, Bukola Saraki, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar; Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto state; Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano state, among others.

Addressing officials of the party, Mark said he believes he has the credentials to lead the country, with his military background and experience in politics.
