February 02, (THEWILL) — The 68th Annual Grammy Awards were held on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, celebrating outstanding achievements in music across genres.
The show was hosted by Trevor Noah, marking his final year as Grammy host.
Kendrick Lamar emerged as the biggest winner of the night, taking home five awards, including Record of the Year for ‘Luther’ featuring SZA, Best Rap Song for ‘TV Off’ featuring Lefty Gunplay, and Best Rap Album for ‘GNX’.
With these victories, Lamar became the most-awarded rapper in Grammy history, with 27 career Grammy Awards.
While Kendrick led the night, the major awards were shared among several artists.
Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny made history by winning Album of the Year for ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’, becoming the first all-Spanish-language album to win music’s top prize.
Lady Gaga won two awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘MAYHEM’
Country artist Jelly Roll also had a standout night, winning all three awards he was nominated for.
His wins included Best Contemporary Country Album for ‘Beautifully Broken’ Best Country Duo/Group Performance for ‘Amen’ with Shaboozey and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’.
Billie Eilish and FINNEAS won Song of the Year for ‘WILDFLOWER’, becoming the first songwriters to win the category three times.
British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean was named Best New Artist, highlighting new talent on the global stage.
In the African music category, South African star Tyla won Best African Music Performance for ‘Push 2 Start.’ The win marked her second consecutive victory in the category, following her earlier win with ‘Water’ when the award was first introduced.
Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Davido, Ayra Starr, Wizkid and Omah Lay were nominated but did not secure a win.
Other notable moments included ‘Golden’ by Huntrix, from the film ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’, which won Best Song Written for Visual Media, making it the first K-pop song to win a Grammy.
The Dr. Dre Global Impact Award was presented to Pharrell Williams in recognition of his long-standing influence as a producer, songwriter and artist.
Overall, the Recording Academy presented awards across 95 categories, many of which were announced during the pre-telecast premiere ceremony ahead of the main televised show.
