May 11, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actor, Akah Nnani, has stated that he was harassed by the police on the Ring Road Bridge linking Osborne from the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
In a video on his Instagram page on Tuesday, he stated that the accident happened on Monday night, while he was in a cab.
He revealed that a police man flagged his ride down and started cocking the gun, demanding that they stop.
“He was like, ‘move to the side, park, park’. I was angry at this point and thinking, why would you cock your gun at me? I told him, if you want us to park, we will park, stop pointing your gun at us. The police replied ‘you can’t teach us how to do our job, we are here to stop and search’.”
The actor later revealed that he was allowed to go when his profession was established. The actor lamented that the experience is quite common for the average Nigerian.
