May 08, (THEWILL) — Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, has debunked long-running rumours that he and his wife, singer Simi, welcomed twins, confirming that they had a son
The twins rumour began in January 2026, when Gold posted a cryptic Snapchat saying, “Asked God for another child, and He blessed me double”, which led fans and media to believe the couple had twins.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Great Day Houston podcast, Gold said, “My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins. We have a son.” He explained that the speculation was simply an internet rumour.
The couple’s second child, a son, was born on March 10, 2026, while their first daughter, Adejare Kosoko, fondly called Deja, was born in May 2020.
Gold is also promoting the deluxe edition of his 2025 album “Fuji”, titled “Fuji Xtra”, which dropped on May 8, 2026. The five-track release includes collaborations with Olamide, TML Vibez, and Simi.
