May 07, (THEWILL) – Borussia Dortmund put on an impressive performance as they secured a 6-0 victory over Wolfsburg, with Karim Adeyemi and Jude Bellingham stealing the show to keep the pressure on Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.
Adeyemi scored two goals and provided an assist for Sebastien Haller, while Bellingham scored two goals of his own. Donyell Malen also found the back of the net, helping Dortmund to move within a point of Bayern.
The match saw Dortmund take an early lead in the 14th minute when Adeyemi headed in Julian Ryerson’s deflected cross. The home team went on to score three more goals in the first half before adding two more in the second half.
Despite his impressive performance, Adeyemi was unable to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 65th minute. Nevertheless, Dortmund got their sixth goal four minutes from time, securing an emphatic victory over their opponents. Wolfsburg, who are currently in seventh place, missed out on the opportunity to climb into the top six after suffering only their second defeat in 10 games.
Dortmund, on the other hand, claimed their 10th straight home league win. They will take on Monchengladbach in their next match, while Wolfsburg will face Hoffenheim.
