June 18, (THEWILL) – Food Network star, Anne Burrell, known for her vibrant personality and popular cooking shows, has died at age 55. According to the network, she died at her home in New York on Tuesday morning.

In a statement, Burrell’s family remembered her as someone, whose “light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world.

“Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal”, they added.

The network also issued a heartfelt tribute: “Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent – teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. Our thoughts are with Anne’s family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss.”

Authorities responded to Burrell’s residence on Tuesday morning, but have not released any details regarding the circumstances of her death as the investigation continues.

Burrell leaves behind a legacy as one of Food Network’s most beloved personalities, having hosted multiple shows that showcased both her expertise and infectious enthusiasm for cooking.
