November 11, (THEWILL) – Ruben Amorim has jetted into Manchester, to take on the daunting task of restoring Manchester United to their former glories. The Portuguese coach bid farewell to Sporting Lisbon in style on Sunday, with a thrilling 4-2 comeback win at his former club Braga.
The mood at Old Trafford has been lifted by three victories in four matches since interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy took over from the sacked Erik ten Hag. However, Amorim will be under no illusions as to the scale of his challenge, with United languishing 13th in the English Premier League table after just four wins in 11 matches this season.
