May 08, (THEWILL) – The 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA has officially kicked off with an opening gala night, which took place at the Monarch Event Center in Lekki.
The ceremony was graced by some entertainment giants such as Basketmouth, Osas Ighodaro, Bimbo Ademoye, Gideon Okeke and a hosts of others.
Ik Osakioduwa, who is returning for the eighth time as host of the prestigious award anchored the opening gala. He will be joined by South Africa’ Bonang Matheba to host the award night taking place on May 14, 2022.
According to the Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channel, MultiChoice Nigeria, Bisola Tejumola, revealed that this year’s edition of the award will focus on shining the light on the many aspects that makes up the African Film and Television industry.
Top four final contestants of the ongoing reality show, Nigeria Idols dazzled guests with wonderous musical performances at the event, while Basketmouth thrilled guests with jaw cracking jokes.
Other programmes lined up for the eight days event includes, Fashion Show, Young Film Makers day, Content Creators Brunch, Culture and Food Festival Day and the grand finale of the event which is the award night.
