March 04, (THEWILL) – In the Serie A on Saturday, Udinese held off Atalanta’s intense attacks to secure a 0-0 draw, with Ademola Lookman kept quiet for another match.

The Friulani had the better chances in the first half, while La Dea, feeling the pressure of their recent losses, could not find a way past Udinese’s goalkeeper, Marco Silvestri.

The absence of key players including Giorgio Scalvini, Duvan Zapata and Hans Hateboer, added to Atalanta’s woes. The team suffered another setback when Davide Zappacosta pulled out in the warm-up, resulting in Matteo Ruggeri’s inclusion. Udinese also faced injury issues, with Kingsley Ehizibue suspended and Gerard Deulofeu and Enzo Ebosse out following knee surgery.

Despite numerous attempts by Atalanta, with shots from Joakim Maehle, Teun Koopmeiners, and Mario Pasalic, they were unable to break the deadlock. Udinese’s defence, led by Silvestri, put up a solid display to earn a valuable point.

Atalanta is sixth in the league just above Juventus, while Udinese sit in ninth. Atalanta’s next match will be against Napoli on Saturday and Udinese will take on Empoli on the same day.
