Aubameyang, Family

August 29, (THEWILL) – An armed robbery incident has been reported at the Castelldefels residence of Barcelona forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, on Monday morning, according to reports monitored by THEWILL from El Pais.

Quoting police sources, the details note that at least four men entered the garden, assaulted him, and threatened him with weapons and iron bars. Aside from threatening the footballer and his wife with guns, the robbers also managed to break into a safe and made away with various jewelry from inside.

Several witnesses claim that the thieves escaped in a white Audi A3 after the incident which occurred at around one in the morning. The Mossos d’Esquadra, (the Policia de la Generalitat de Catalunya), the autonomous police force responsible for law enforcement in the Spanish autonomous community of Catalonia, are now looking into potential suspects.

According to police sources, Alysha Behague, Aubameyang’s wife, called the police to report what had occurred.

Although thieves have targeted soccer players’ homes before, they often do it when they know the occupants are away from home. Or they do it in a way that their presence is not noted, the way Aubameyang’s teammate Jordi Alba’s home was burgled in 2018.
