SAN FRANCISCO, August 28, (THEWILL) – As the death sentence pronounced Kano-based singer, Yahaya Shariff by a Sharia court in Kano and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s pledge to uphold the sentence continues to generate reactions, Nigerian musician and actor Wellington Bankole, popularly known as Banky W, has also aired his views concerning the issue.
Banky W took to his social media account to berate the governor who was allegedly captured in multiple viral videos stuffing his pockets with dollars believed to have been bribes from a contractor.
“The Governor signing the death warrant was seen on camera pocketing thousands of dollars in bribes “allegedly”… how come the Sharia penalty of cutting off his hands doesn’t apply to him?, ” he tweeted.
