July 1, (THEWILL) – As part of a new agreement between Barcelona and the widely used music streaming service, Spotify, Camp Nou has been rebranded as the Spotify Camp Nou.
Barcelona announced the arrangement with Spotify in March of this year, with an estimated value of €280 million. The organisation’s name and logo are featured on the front of the club’s freshly released home and away kits for the 2022–2023 season, and will remain there for four more seasons until 2026.
The naming rights portion of the agreement has already begun following the official conclusion of the 2021/2022 season on June 30, while Spotify will continue to sponsor the training kit until 2025. A new façade with Spotify branding has been added to the stadium’s front as part of the Camp Nou renaming. Pedri, Mapi Leon, Ansu Fati, Alexia Putellas, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Aitana Bonmati are among the men’s and women’s team players featuring.
A Barça statement describes the naming rights as follows: “It will continue through the ambitious plan to restructure the entire Spotify Camp Nou as part of the Espai Barça project, whereby FC Barcelona will be converting its facilities and environs into a brand new world class entertainment experience that will be open to the whole city of Barcelona.”
Along with the exterior of the stadium, Spotify branding will be present inside on the benches, seats, and at pitch level.
