August 13, (THEWILL) – Venita Akpofure, one of the Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, has revealed that she experienced domestic violence as a child.
She made this known while having a discussion with her love interest, Adekunle Olopade, on the reality show.
She confessed that her father was physically violent towards her.
“He will hit me with wires, objects, knives, and once he pushed me down the stairs and locked me outside for 3 hours.”
She added that during her introduction, he got drunk and gave a speech about how he often thought about apologising to her for his abusive nature.
Akpofure also revealed that her father was harsh and thought he was scolding her for good, but during his speech when she was getting married, he revealed she was the only one out of all his children he got physical with.
