May 20, (THEWILL) — The organisers of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show have warned Nigerians to disregard any requests for payment related to the show’s upcoming auditions.
In a statement posted across their social media pages on Tuesday, the organisers described such claims as “false”, stressing that the audition process remains “free and fair” for all eligible Nigerians.
“False claim of payment for Big Brother Naija auditions. Any communication requesting payment related to Big Brother Naija auditions is false and should be disregarded.
“Big Brother Naija auditions require no payment, and remain free, fair, and accessible to all eligible Nigerians. Rely only on the official Africa Magic and Big Brother platforms for accurate information about Big Brother Naija. We appreciate your continued support and enthusiasm, and urge everyone to remain vigilant against misinformation”, the statement read.
Season 11 auditions are scheduled to begin on May 22, 2026, with online registration open from May 16 to 20. Physical auditions will be held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu. Shortlisted applicants will receive a confirmation email.
The warning comes as scammers reportedly attempt to sell fake audition forms or guarantee spots inside the house for fees ranging from ₦80,000 to ₦100,000.
Applicants are urged to rely solely on official BBNaija platforms for accurate information.
