
May 30, (THEWILL) – British actor and comedian Russell Brand has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, sexual assault, and indecent assault during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court in London on Friday.
The 49-year-old formally denied all five charges for the first time.
The charges, relating to four women, involve incidents reported to have occured in central London and Bournemouth between 1999 and 2005
Brand has consistently denied engaging in any non-consensual sexual activity since the claims emerged two years ago.
A trial has been scheduled to begin on 3 June 2026 and is expected to last four to five weeks.
Brand will remain on conditional bail until the proceedings commence.
