June 09, (THEWILL) – American singer, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari, her long-time boyfriend, are reportedly tying the knot.
The 40-year-old songwriter and performer and Asghari, a fitness trainer, are currently walking down the aisle in Los Angeles.
The pair are also said to be having an intimate wedding ceremony with about 100 guests.
Spears’ parents and sister will, however, not be in attendance, according to the news outlet. This is perceived to be a result of her conservatorship battle with Jamie, the singer’s dad.
The wedding is coming about 10 months after the songwriter announced her engagement to Asghari.
This was also about the same time when Jamie filed a petition with a Los Angeles judge seeking to end the 13-year conservatorship role, a legal arrangement that has given him control over the pop star’s estate since 2008.
In April, Asghari and Spears announced that they are expecting their first child together.

They have been a couple for the last four years after meeting on the set of Spears’ ‘Slumber Party’ music video in 2016.
Before Asghari, the singer had infamously tied the knot with Jason Alexander on January 3, 2004. She, however, ended the union after 55 hours.
She had also on September 19, 2004, married Kevin Federline. The pair welcomed two kids together, Sean and Jayden. The couple later divorced in 2007.
Asghari is originally from Tehran, Iran. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 12.
