October 14, (THEWILL) – A bizarre situation has emerged in Nigeria involving Victor Osimhen and his brother-in-law, Osita Okolo. Okolo is married to Osimhen’s sister and was reportedly part of the group that negotiated the striker’s transfer from Lille to Napoli in 2020.
However, tensions arose between the two men when Okolo claimed Osimhen and agent William D’Avila still owed him over £400,000 in commission from that deal. The situation escalated this week when Nigeria’s Department of State Services authorities arrived to arrest Osimhen’s sister.
Okolo posted a video on Twitter appearing to show them forcibly taking his wife away. He wrote that “Victor Osimhen sends DSS to abduct his sister (my wife) over an issue still before the courts between myself and him.”
It has been an eventful return to Nigeria for the Napoli striker, who has endured a torrid return to the new campaign with controversial events in Napoli.
