November 20, (THEWILL) – The stage is set for the “Budweiser Game of Kings” campaign, which will see the premium beer brand bring two decorated players from the beautiful game to Nigeria to compete in a novelty match alongside some of the best from the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
As a result, ex-Chelsea captain John Terry and England captain Roberto Carlos arrived in Lagos on Thursday, November 18, ahead of the match on Saturday.
Two lucky fans, Osinachi Egbuche and Seun John, are said to be in charge of the two teams that will see the legends compete in the football match.
Egbuche, who will coach Smooth FC, and John, who will take charge of Kings FC, were chosen from hundreds of candidates before being narrowed down to just 30, from which the pair emerged as the fortunate duo to take charge.
Terry and Carlos are anticipated to captain each squad in the charity match and socialise with the players with a view to assisting ambitious footballers in their future careers.
That goal aside, Budweiser wants to provide millions of football fans in Nigeria who are Budweiser lovers a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
