November 28, (THEWILL) — Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has cancelled two shows on his ongoing No Sign of Weakness Tour following what appears to be a noticeable decline in ticket sales.

The shows in Minneapolis on November 28 and Chicago on December 1 were marked as cancelled on Ticketmaster on Thursday.

The Minneapolis date was pulled less than 24 hours before it was scheduled to take place.

Reports suggest that the decline in interest intensified after a viral video showed Burna Boy ordering security to remove two fans he claimed were sleeping during his performance in Denver, insisting their lack of energy was bringing down the vibe in the venue.

The clip sparked widespread criticism online, with many accusing him of disrespecting his audience.

Public sympathy increased after the woman involved revealed she had recently experienced a personal loss, adding emotional weight to the situation.

During a recent show in Texas, Burna Boy addressed the controversy directly, expressing regret and apologising for his remarks.

“I’m sorry, guys. It was a slip of the tongue. I apologise for what I said. I’m so sorry, everyone,” he said.

On Friday, Burna Boy shared a link on his Instagram Story confirming the cancelled dates. All other dates on the tour remain unaffected for now.

Neither Burna Boy nor his management has released an official statement explaining the cancellations or addressing whether the backlash influenced the decision.
