June 06, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress, Carol King, has called out her maid, Glory Effiong, for absconding with her money.
She took to her Instagram page to share pictures of the maid and narrated how she absconded with $700 and €40.
The actress revealed that the maid has been working with her for five months and had left after being given a day off on Friday, but didn’t return as expected.
King added that she was worried and thought a mishap had happened to her but she called her phone and she didn’t return the call as expected.
She placed a call to her agent, just to make inquiries to know her where about.
The actress recounted how she had a bad dream before the maid’s disappearance which further made her suspicious that something was indeed wrong.
She decided to search her house for any stolen item and she discovered that the maid had stolen 700 dollars and 40 Euros from her purse.
Calling the attention of the public, she alerted them to be wary of Effiong to avoid being her next victim.
“This is Glory Effiong. She has been my maid for five months. She had a day off last Friday. When she didn’t return today as she was supposed to, I got worried thinking she had a mishap so I called her phone but she didn’t pick up my calls.
“I duly placed a call to the agent who brought her to let him know she was AWOL.
“I suddenly remembered that I had a bad dream about her which I shared with my husband. The dream sparked suspicion so I went to her room to discover that she had taken all her things.
“Looking around for what she could have made off with, I discovered that she had taken 700 dollars and 40 Euros from my purse.
Please take note of her face so you don’t fall victim to her thievery”, she wrote.
