March 24, (THEWILL) — Iconic singer Celine Dion is set to make a concert comeback in France, with reports saying she will perform a series of shows in Paris later this year.
The singer is expected to hold concerts at Paris La Défense Arena in September and October, with two shows scheduled each week.
The planned return follows her performance of “Hymne à l’amour” by Edith Piaf during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she sang near the Eiffel Tower.
Promotional posters featuring titles of Dion’s popular songs, including “Pour que tu m’aimes encore” and “The Power of Love”, have appeared across Paris, hinting at the upcoming shows.
Dion has not performed a full concert since 2020. Her planned tour was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and later cancelled because of health challenges.
In 2022, she revealed she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare condition that affects movement and muscle control.
Her health journey was documented in “I Am: Celine Dion”, which details her efforts to return to the stage.
Dion has yet to officially confirm the new concert dates. However, the reported shows would mark her first major live performances in years.
