Portable

May 01, (THEWILL) – A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State has sentenced controversial street-hop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, to three months’ imprisonment with an option of a N30,000 fine.

The ruling follows his arraignment in April 2023 on a three-count charge bordering on assault and theft of musical equipment (Charge No. MIF/192C/2023). Although the court initially granted him bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties from his immediate family, Portable failed to appear at subsequent hearings.

He was re-arrested and brought before the court last Thursday, after which the matter proceeded to judgment on Tuesday.
