December 19, (THEWILL) — Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido, will headline the opening concert of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 in Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday, a day before the tournament begins.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Thursday, December 18, that Davido will lead a high-profile international line-up featuring global hip-hop artist, French Montana, Moroccan singer, Douaa Lahyaoui, French-Moroccan hitmaker, Lartiste, and emerging artist, Says’z.
The opening concert will set the tone for the month-long football celebrations. Organisers say the diverse line-up highlights African music, culture, and unity.
AFCON 2025 kicks off on Sunday, December 21, with matches in several Moroccan cities.
