Di Maria Sidelined By Adductor

August 16, (THEWILL) – After sustaining an adductor injury in the 3-0 victory against Sassuolo for Juventus, playmaker, Angel Di Maria, will be sidelined for at least 10 days.

The Argentinean international scored the game’s opening goal on his Serie A debut before setting up Dusan Vlahovic for his second goal of the evening after the forward made it 2-0 from the penalty spot.

However, in the second quarter, an injury forced the former Paris Saint-Germain player, Di Maria, to leave the game. In light of Juventus’ recent announcement that Di Maria’s condition will be reassessed in 10 days, he will be unable to play against Sampdoria on Monday.

After the game, Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri said he was not concerned about the prospect of his recruit suffering a setback.
