May 05, (THEWILL) — Dolly Parton has cancelled her upcoming Las Vegas residency as she continues treatment for health issues.

She announced the decision on May 4, 2026, in a video posted to her Instagram page.

The residency, titled “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas”, was scheduled for The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. It had been postponed multiple times before the final cancellation.

The shows were initially set for December 2025, then postponed to September 2026 due to “health challenges” that required medical procedures. The September dates have now been cancelled entirely.

In her statement, the 80-year-old said she has been “responding really well to meds and treatments” and is “improving every day.” She cited ongoing issues including kidney stones and immune and digestive system problems.

Parton said she needs more time to recover before returning to the stage. “I’ve still got some healing to do, but I am on my way!” she said.

She explained that some of her medications make her feel “swimmy headed,” adding, “I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars, and such on 5-inch heels.”

Parton said she is not yet “stage-performance ready” and apologised to fans. “I am truly sorry that I’m going to miss all of you who had tickets to see me in Las Vegas”, she said.

Despite the cancellation, she confirmed she remains active in music and other projects, including a Broadway musical, a museum, and a hotel in Nashville.

She described herself as “an old classic car” in need of repair, but said her condition is treatable and she is working closely with doctors on recovery.
