May 15, (THEWILL) — Canadian rapper Drake has surprised fans with the release of three albums at the same time: “Iceman”, “Habibti”, and “Maid of Honour.”

The projects dropped at midnight on May 15 and contain a total of 43 songs. They feature collaborations with artists including Central Cee, 21 Savage, and PARTYNEXTDOOR.

Drake announced the release during his “Iceman Episode 4” livestream, ending weeks of anticipation for a single album.

Each album has a different sound. “Iceman” focuses on rap and hip-hop, “Habibti” leans toward R&B, while “Maid of Honour” features dance and upbeat tracks.

This is Drake’s first major solo release since For All the Dogs in 2023.

It also follows his public rap feud with Kendrick Lamar in 2024, which is reflected in some lyrics on “Iceman.”

Early reactions show strong streaming demand, with reports of slowdowns on some platforms due to heavy traffic.

Fans and critics are also debating the large volume of music and the ambitious release strategy.

The triple release is expected to perform strongly on music charts in the coming weeks.
