July 21, (THEWILL) – Ailing artiste, Eedris Abdulkareem, has stated that a GoFundMe account has been created by his friends to facilitate his kidney transplant.
The controversial singer was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and is currently undergoing dialysis.
Abdulkareem is expected to undergo a kidney transplant on July 27.
It was earlier reported that Yetunde, the wife of the rapper, will be his kidney donor.
“Firstly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to you all for the unalloyed love and care you have shown me since this sad news broke. I sincerely appreciate and love you all for this outpouring of genuine love and care.
“However, based on the requests I have been receiving on the need for a GoFundMe activity, I want to assure everyone that the activity is now on. Just click on my Instagram website for the gofundme link.
“I am feeling better, strong and agile in body and soul, while awaiting the doctor’s summons for the surgery procedures scheduled for anytime from now. Prayers, faith and staunch belief in God’s awesome works drives me.”
As of the time of this report, the fundraiser which targets £48,000, has garnered £2,419 (N1,173,700) from 84 donors.
