February 19, (THEWILL) – The English Premier League has announced new dates for six games that were previously postponed, including Liverpool’s match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Several Premier League games were postponed in December and January after clubs claimed they could not play complete squads due to Covid-19 and injuries.
Manchester United’s games against Brentford and Brighton, for example, have already been rescheduled and played. However, the sheer number of matches that had to be rescheduled in an ever-shorter timeline made it an enormous problem.
Tottenham’s match against Brighton has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 16, with Arsenal and Liverpool playing later that evening. The following night, on Thursday March 17, Everton will play hosts to Newcastle.
The full fixture set for the rescheduled Premier League matches is:
Thursday 10 March
19:30 – Southampton v Newcastle
19:30 – Wolves v Watford
19:45 – Leeds v Aston Villa
Sunday 13 March – *Moved from Saturday 12 March
14:00 – Everton v Wolves*
14:00 – Leeds v Norwich*
14:00 – Southampton v Watford*
Wednesday 16 March
